A Walk at the Knob

This winter's mild temperatures are perfect for enjoying the beach, woods, or one of the many trails throughout Falmouth.  One of our favorite walks, any time of the year, is The Knob at Quissett Harbor.  The Knob is a 12-acre parcel with walking trails, a crescent-shaped  beach, and outstanding views of Buzzards Bay and Quissett Harbor.  This spot consistently ranks high on Cape "best sunset" lists, but it's beautiful any time of day.

From Falmouth, take the Woods Hole Road, and turn right at the traffic light at Quissett Harbor Road.  Continue on to the harbor. There's an information kiosk at the start of the trail.

A walk at the Knob, lunch and shopping in Falmouth and Woods Hole, and that's a pretty nice way to spend a winter day.
