Arts Are Alive in Falmouth

Downtown Falmouth is the place to be this weekend for the Arts Alive Festival 2013, which takes place on June 21, 22, and 23. This three-day, free celebration of music, dance, theater, crafts, and visual arts kicks off on Friday evening at 5 p.m.

Throughout the weekend, attendees can take in 60 performances of dance, music and theater as well as observe the work of  more than 50 artisans and crafts people who will be demonstrating and selling their handiwork. Several local non-profits will be there to provide information about their activities.

Hours are Friday from 5 - 9 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.  All of the action takes place on the library lawn and Shore Street Extension.

Arts Alive is sponsored by ArtsFalmouth, an organization established in 2005 to support and promote art events and artists in and around Falmouth.
