Cape Cod Marathon

The Falmouth Road Race is not the only world-class running event in Falmouth.  Runner's World magazine has named the Cape Cod Marathon as one of the ten "most scenic" marathons in the nation. Starting and ending at Falmouth Villages' historic Village Green, the course also takes runners along Falmouth Harbor and Nantucket Sound, through wooded areas, cranberry bogs, and the renowned village of Woods Hole, past Nobska Lighthouse and the Surf Drive beaches.
All along the route, thousands of spectators are there to encourage and cheer the runners on.

Organized since 1978 by the Falmouth Track Club, this year the Marathon and relay event will take place on Sunday, October 27.  The weekend also includes a half-marathon on Saturday, October 26.  The Clam Chowdah Challenge is for those who really want to test their endurance by participating in both the half and full marathon.  For registration and more information, visit http://www.capecodmarathon.com/index.php.
