2014 College Light Opera Company Season

The 46th season of the College Light Opera Company is in full swing and getting rave reviews.  CLOC is an independent, non-profit theater company comprised of singers, musicians, and technicians from colleges and universities across the country. Under the guidance and direction of a professional staff they put on nine musicals and operettas, accompanied by a full orchestra, throughout the summer season.

The current production is The Pajama Game, based on the 1954 Broadway hit that tells the tale of labor unrest and romance at a pajama factory.  A review in the Cape Cod Times says the production tells the story "in an engaging way with strong vocals, quirky characterizations and inventive Fosse-infused choreography".  The reviewer goes on to say that "with talent from all over the country, CLOC has developed a well-earned reputation of staging an impressive array of complicated productions".  Next up is Rodgers & Hammerstein's Carousel, starting on July 24.

Performances take place in the air-conditioned Highfield Theater at 58 Highfield Drive in Falmouth.  Single-admission tickets are $35.00.  The Box Office is open Monday - Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; 2 to 5 p.m.; and 7 to 9 p.m.  Call 508-548-0668 for more information.
